Advice You Can Trust — Success You Can Achieve

As Small Business Milwaukee has grown from a marketing and social media platform into a resource hub, our network of professionals has expanded alongside it. Through these connections, we’ve met experts who share our mission of empowering small businesses. Their insights, experience, and dedication help business owners navigate challenges and seize new opportunities.

To bring their expertise directly to you, we created in November of 2024 the Small Business Milwaukee Advisor’s Desk—a platform featuring expert-driven articles designed to inform, inspire, and support your business journey. Each month, our advisors share valuable perspectives on finance, marketing, operations, and more, helping you make informed decisions and stay ahead in a competitive landscape.

Stay tuned for new insights each month, and take advantage of the collective wisdom that can help shape the future of your business.

Since moving to Wisconsin in 2002, I’ve dedicated my career to helping businesses and individuals navigate the complexities of banking, finance, and business development. With over 30 years of experience in commercial lending, treasury management, and financial strategy, I provide expert guidance through my consulting business, Anderson Advisory Services. My passion lies in helping businesses optimize cash flow, secure funding, and develop sustainable growth strategies.

Beyond my professional work, I’m actively involved in the Greater Greenfield Community Chamber as a board member and in MBCNetworking, a local business networking group. I believe in fostering meaningful connections that lead to real opportunities for success.

When I’m not working, my wife, Lisa, and I enjoy spending time with our four grandchildren, walking, biking, staying engaged in our church, and catching our favorite TV shows. And, of course, I can often be found scrolling through social media, always looking for the next great conversation or opportunity to connect.

I built my first computer in 1975 and have worked with every version of Microsoft operating systems from DOS to Windows 11. Through formal education and real-life experiences, I have the tools necessary to efficiently investigate problems and formulate solutions. My undergraduate degree is in biology from the University of Chicago. My graduate degree is in biomedical engineering from the University of Illinois.

I served as the Manager of CT Engineering at General Electric Medical Systems, VP of Engineering at a magnetic resonance accessories company, and VP of Engineering at a medical device manufacturing firm.

A volunteer firefighter for many years, I see the similarities between assessing a fire scene and deciding on a strategy and tackling computer-related issues.
