At the back of it is a workshop where a scientist with wide-ranging professional expertise in toxicology, research, development, and Big Pharma crafts functional beverages for a target audience of sober/sober-curious adults. That’s the start of a blog post I recently wrote about Forward Beverage Co., a small company in Wausau that crafts sophisticated, non-alcoholic drinks. Of course that required taste testing, so Smallbizmke Founder Tracy Champagne brought a 4-pack with her to a recent work session of ours. That warm, lovely afternoon we tried the Salted Guava Social Seltzer. The following night, my husband and I each poured ourselves an In-Fashioned Soft Cocktail on the rocks and garnished with cherries. Both beverages—delicious, aromatic, elegant, calming.

That last part is due to the THC (Tetrahydrocannabinol), CBD (Cannabidiol), and Ashwagandha (adaptogenic herb) masterfully blended to provide a balanced, relaxed state without the usual side effects of traditional alcoholic drinks.

Let me also add this: there are plenty of summer picnics and parties ahead and many people do not imbibe. Why not offer those guests something more nuanced and refined than soda or water?
