The Small Business Milwaukee Personal Introduction Program

At its core, Small Business Milwaukee is a community, not just a directory.

For more than a decade, we’ve watched business owners, entrepreneurs, nonprofit leaders, professionals, and community members come together to learn, grow, connect, and create opportunities. Some people join because they need visibility. Some join because they need customers. Others are looking for referrals, partnerships, resources, or answers. Many simply want to connect with people who understand both the challenges and rewards of running a business.

Along the way, something interesting happens. People meet referral partners. They discover new ideas, find resources they didn’t know existed, attend events, build relationships, and create opportunities. Often, the most valuable outcome isn’t something they expected when they first joined.

Over the years, we’ve learned that many opportunities begin with a simple introduction. That’s why we’ve created the Small Business Milwaukee Personal Introduction Program.

With a directory listing, you’ll have the option to let us know whether you’d like introductions to other members of the Small Business Milwaukee community. If you do, Tracy Champagne will review your business, learn more about what you’re hoping to achieve, and make up to five personalized email introductions to people within our network who may be valuable connections for you.

Those introductions might lead to referral partnerships, collaborative projects, networking opportunities, community involvement, trusted resources, or simply meaningful professional relationships. Every introduction is different because every business is different.

Sometimes a connection leads directly to new business. Sometimes it leads to a resource, an idea, or an opportunity you didn’t know existed. And sometimes it simply helps you feel more connected to Milwaukee’s small business community.

There is no pressure, no obligation, and no expectation that every introduction will produce an immediate result. Our goal is simply to help people connect. We believe that business growth often happens through relationships, and relationships often begin with a conversation.
