(This article was originally published in the March 2020 Small Business Milwaukee newsletter. The intent of the newsletter was to share insights provided by small business owners on how they are dealing with corona virus effects.)
We at Small Business Milwaukee have started reaching out to people who, we believe, can help small business owners navigate their course through the COVID-19 crisis. One of the first individuals we talked to was Dave Rebro, Technology Therapist at DRCS Solutions. Dave is forward thinking, tech and business savvy and oh so patient. Here’s what he shared with us:
“This is a challenging time for many of us, and we are facing the task of adapting and shifting from our “normal” way of conducting business. This means we need to think and do things differently.”
~ Dave Rebro
Of course he practices what he teaches, so he has shifted all business-related face-to-face client meetings, technical support appointments, learning sessions, and workshops to online consulting. With the help of various technology tools and online services, such as Zoom, FaceTime, Slack, Facebook Live and YouTube, Dave is now running his business virtually.
He’s also helping his clients shift to a virtual workspace. He shared, “being creative, staying ahead of the curve, and uniquely serving clients will help keep your business moving in the direction you desire. We can do all of this with the assistance of technology.”
