Valuable Quotes from Our Attendees

ThinkTank participants discussed how their vision has assisted them in meeting goals– large and small.

Joanna Carlberg

“Have a vision (and) walk towards it.”

Sara Deacon

“Envision yourself five years in the future and use present tense to talk about who you are, how you’re showing up, and when you come back to the present,
you begin to see how you’re already showing up in that identity, and where the gaps are. Five years is far enough ahead that big changes can happen, but not so far gone that it’s impossible to see (like 20 years). Writing by hand helps memory.”

Caryn Willens

“Envision your best life. Feel the joy in accomplishing your vision.”

Kim Knaak

“I still go back to SMART goals. Sometimes I have to break down many SMART goals to achieve that larger extended goal. I also choose a word for each year to decide how I want my year to go. I find myself really achieving that “word” rather than setting a resolution for the year. Also, my “word” is intentional for both business and personal.
I really achieved it this year by being able to quit my full-time job and focus solely on being a small business owner. I set the vision/goal and achieved it!!! I couldn’t be happier but my vision isn’t complete. It just builds and builds and builds….”

Doug Williams

“Having something in your mind is a vision. Writing it down makes it a goal.”
